Dream Not Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Dream Not

Dream not

I wish life was easy
As I see in dream.
Example:
I drove to see them
Who were they? My in-laws?
It seemed like…
Left the car, rushed to door
The engine was running; key inside
Went to call: 'Hey, hello, I'm here? …? '
Whatever!

Turned around car was gone…
Somebody drove off
Pissed me off!

Normally in mornings of dreams
If they do come to mind
One may think:
'What was that? ', 'A message? '

And so on…

I recall my dreams of childhood
Till was young, and even a father.

I flew in dreams as if was Superman
Hands on sides, extended
I landed exactly in what was Helipad…

And in times went too far in distance
As if fish, whale, dolphin
Without need to refresh or stop for the air…

There were times that I fought
Ready to hit opposing with a punch
But I felt unable as if tied…

Don't believe in Freud
Neither in the Psycho
But still I remain unaware of dreams…
