Dreamcatcher Poem by Parth Parekh

Dreamcatcher

She came in my dreams last night,
She comes in my dreams every time,
Known as the Dreamcatcher,
She is the one who has captured my mind,

Shrouded in mist,
And draped in fairy-like clothes,
Surrounded by an aura,
And having angel-like looks,

Curious as always,
I head towards her,
The closer I go,
The further she goes,

But last night was unusual,
It just wasn’t the same,
The nearer I went,
The closer she came,

Now I was quite near,
And just about to see her,
When I was awakened,
By a ringing phone quite near,

I pick up the call,
And its you at the other end,
We talk to each other,
Like best friends,

After I cut the line,
I suddenly remember,
I was so close to seeing her,
But you woke me up my dear,

I started feeling unlucky,
That it just wasn’t my day,
You had to call me,
At the wrong time on the wrong day,

But now I feel,
What a big mistake I made,
I wasn’t unlucky,
And that god was actually making my day,

Now I realize,
That you were destined to call,
And that it wasn’t you at the other end,
But it was the Dreamcatcher who called.

This is an engaging narrative and you could lace it up with more picturesque adjectives or use more vivid and descriptive words that 'paint' a scene. The use of a Thesaurus and Synonym/Antonym dictionary is very helpful in choosing appropriate words that convey your idea into rhymes and phrases.
