Ann ...

Dreaming Sleep - Poem by Ann ...

Let me sleep
to dream of you.
I am awake with
anxiety, knowing
it will be longer
still until i see your
face. Just let me
drift off, let me find
you, so we can
lie down and fall asleep
together all over again.

    resting her I lay
your words hold me at bay
    Lying here I sleep
    waiting for the creep
    your footsteps I can here
    as they draw forever near
