Dreams? Poem by jordan erickson

Dreams?

I stand alone
with my back to the stone
day dreaming of her
under the sun.
running my fingers through her hair.

my mind waunders
my heart pounds
love is certainly dangerous waters
as the words carry no sound

I close my eyes
and see the happiness
of her smile
and simpleness.

I hear a whisper on
the wind
that carries sounds
its her...

it can't be
can it?
I open my eyes and see
her smile on her lips

I look at
her and
take her mouth
in mine.

I wake up...
the moon is sleeping
I feel like a dupe,
for the whole thing was a dream.
