Dreams Poem by Juan Olivarez

Dreams

Lest dreams become reality,
Before breakfast say no word.
If you would chatter merrily,
Speak not your mind if you get bored.

An evil dream must stay,
Forever in the land of dreams.
So don't reveal it in the day,
Lest it should ruin your schemes.

A goodly dream will oft come true,
If before breakfast you should share.
With the one that means so much to you,
And for whose heart you care.

Be not confused, just take a while,
To think the whole dream through.
Don't go and babble like a child,
If it means something to you.
