Drifter Poem by Ibrar Siddiqi

Drifter

I wander ever
from palce to place
Not ever seeing a familiar face.
Just want to settle somewhere nice
Instead of the usual bed lice.
I just want live a home
I feel like a hernit or a gnome.
I see all walk before me
Not a care in the world
Wish that was me
Back to the pank bench
with the spittle and booze
for company.
To spend the night
before the local kids kick me
like a football
