Drugs Poem by Najma Mohamed

Drugs

Tiny pills, injections and smokes,

Wrapped in packets, bottles or a box.

Kills many so softly,

Making life seem so costly.

It affects both young and old,

Junkies is what they end up being called,

Lives are lost, families break.

Dealers don't care as money they make.

School dropouts increase,

Health detoriates with ease,

Young ones deaths are up rated,

A generation gap is created.

Mothers left without children,

Wives are deprived of their men,

All under a silent killer,

Brought by a drug dealer.

The youths are leaders of tomorrow,

So lets not leave our nation in sorrow.

Let everyone drug abuse fight,

And with God's grace, succeed we might!
