Dry - Poem by Edwina Reizer

Oh my little precious one
you have sucked me dry.
Now my milk's all gone
and it makes me want to cry.
'Cause all the formulas
that you will drink
will make me remember
and make me think
all about our closeness
at nighttime and morn
when I nursed away your hunger
like when you were born.
