Dryad Poem by Rashida Mack

Dryad

His eyes dip into depths,
I've only known,
deeper,
through the cracks,
and spaces,
I had yet to find,
passed what is named,
brown points reach,
through soil
and wind,
touched,
our bodies kiss,
probing the dark of death,
with the light of life.
we've not said much,
beyond hello,
and goodbye,
but
he's forever known me,
and I him,
I put my finger to his pulse,
and feel the stream flow,
from,
the river,
beyond the sea,
hand to hand,
cradled,
we share in,
the Babassu Palm.
