Ducks' Cries Poem by james watkin

Ducks' Cries

Shuffling on, chilled and lone
Their cry by night
Above me, does heighten
This doleful plight.

And when, sleepless, in bed
That far refrain
For lost love's lament, heard
With no pretence
Know I, by experience
Twill haunt again.
