Ducklings Poem by james watkin

Ducklings

How commonplace, endearing told.
And how sweet and seemly
Baby-faced, bright enthuses
For Nature's new-born glee.

Their own playground, own parents
Down-toddled, defying;
Downy and flustered! Like themselves
New sensations trying.

And like themselves with a batch
Of childish charms mimicked.
Thin-limbed, inch-billed, no shallower
In sound spilt o'er, frolicked.
