Ducks In The Sunset Poem by Marilyn Lott

Ducks In The Sunset

Rating: 3.9

They stood beside the water
Their little bodies' dark this night
A backdropp of brilliant sunset
It was a glorious precious sight

The ducks were amazed it seemed
And the humans observations as well
Orange peeked right through the trees
Just so amazing once the sun fell

The air was still and silent
Only an occasional quack was heard
For they stayed and enjoyed the night
These gracious and beautiful birds

It was musical without even a sound
For you could feel it, know what I mean?
A sunset with sweet admirers
Just like it would be in a dream

Oh, I wish you could have been here
I know you’d think it was profound
The colors of the sky and the ducks
With only an occasional sound!

MAGNIFICENT WORK! ! ! I love ducks very much. This poem brought me back to when I went to go live in Pittsburgh because I used to go feed ducks often. They where fun to be with. You really caught the view here. Take care and God bless.
