Dust Blowing Poem by William Kofoed

Dust Blowing

Leafs do dance
and branches rustle
as chilled air
through them goes

lifting up
fine dust stirring
flowing quickly
upon the ground

quietly flowing
without a babble
across the land
in channel cut

red of rust
smoothly carried
in the bottom
of water cold

a leaf flying
upon the wind chilled
into the channel
does quietly fall

chill of wind
flow of water
across the land
carrying away

gold of light
quickly fading
as the darkness
does take all
