Duty Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Duty

Duty

There are much I have seen as a child
It is mean to ignore; I must write
In compact as poems or prose.
Yes I must
Yes I must
Yes I must

If ignored I am thief to the world
Unless I, like many, do not care
Narcissists are after power, gold
I must write
I must write
I must write

Being born in village
Living with lambs and goats
Walking the tough, rough roads
I must write
I must write
I must write

Our evil childish games
Ride stick or branch or the wall
And donkey, and the falls
Yes I must
Yes I must
Yes I must

Waking up and taking baby goats
As shepherd or to one
Losing them, here, there, and so on
I must write
I must write
I must write

What we did with the chicks
With lizards and Qopi
Clay vase and the Khik
Oh I must
Oh I must
Oh I must.
