Dwarf Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Dwarf

Dwarf

Whispered he, kind, softly
- "Go home and rest, sleep! "

He, among all colleagues
-knows little about me

Others are birds and beasts
-in same zoo, ‘pen' and pinned
-shitty life we have, live

Even he, knows partly
-unaware of depths, deep
-and the pains around me

Knows not old histories
-when was young and active
-documents, films, writings
-bullet holes in skin
-crawling leaches, worms
-all over and on me

He knows not
-Frankenstein follows me
-shadow-like with speed

A dwarf, I am in galaxies.
-long ago was sending
-the signals he received

He sees the light-signals
-long after I am gone

They reached him very late
-they got down with delay
-nothing left to be saved!
