Dwelling Poem by Sam Yang

Dwelling

Rating: 5.0

There we lie on the hilltop
Not knowing where to go next
Civilization miles and miles apart
I am forever safe and sound
For she guides me with her heart.

Destiny brought us on this starry night
To look up and appreciate the heavens
To never look back and remember
That there once was pain in the world
For our love is an everlasting ember.

As she brings me to the rivers of Til
I see how her heart runs pure as well
How her heart surpasses any obstacles
That is when I realized
Through her beauty, I see miracles.

The endless skies rival our everlasting love
Time is nothing for love doesn't see age
Love sees character and emotion through passion
So never forget what we always had
A never-ending heart that touched nations.

You really have a knack for conveying emotion in your poems. I really love the second stanza, especially.
