Dwindling Romance Poem by sam's writings

Dwindling Romance

Rating: 5.0

I find myself on the dying end of romance
Thinking too much about people who won't spare me a second glance
Can't even leave it up to an ill fated chance

I witnessed the birth of something between us but it frizzled up in days
My Fingertips left yearning for the winter sun rays
Will I ever have anyone real?
Or will I have to brave the ‘all is well' ordeal?

But even you can't materialise out of thin air
And say ‘honey you look the worse for wear'
Cure me out of this malady
Cradle my enervated state and call me ‘my lady'
Asseverate your wistful longing for me like the heroes of classic love plays
And I'll forget that I was ever ridiculed for my antiquarian ways
