Eagle's Wing🦅 Poem by Ojoma Charles Daniel

Eagle's Wing🦅

Thinking through what I went through,
'It is a pity' is in the hands of those I thought could lead me through,
This feelings, would I ever get through?

Would there ever be a cure?
I forgive and love to cure,
Yet it is even worst as if it can't be cured,
Had it been my hands at least it could be manicured,
Nor my feet which could also be penicured,
But ‘Elee' what I feel seems to have no cure.

With the enthusiasm of getting a cure I gave room to those in power,
As ‘Oyibo' suggested that they have the power,
They initiated programme to empower,
Yes! it was meant to empower,
But it is a pity for there's no power to empower.

Those who bear my name just to defeat,
Came against those I can defeat,
But were irresistibly defeated.
Now, will I ever soar again in the wind with my wing in this defeat?
