Early Morning Dawn Poem by Marilyn Lott

Early Morning Dawn

Rating: 3.9

I love my early morning risin'
It is like a new beginning
My slate so fresh and new
Blank and non-committing

For in the early mornin'
My world is very still
Thoughts and plans unmarked
My schedule is yet to fill

I await the brilliant color
As the sun peeks at the day
Not knowing its design
Or if it will chose to stay

Or if dark clouds will spill over
And completely cover-up
The warm and gentle day
Like an over-flowing cup

So each day becomes a mystery
It's one I look forward to
No one else can choose it
It is loyal fresh and true!

Yeahhh I agree with you, we take it one at a time, but what lies beyond the sun shinning day, is something worth a wait! ! ! ! Nice piece Marilyn.

Verey positive and personal. No one else can choose it - never thought of it like that. For some the weather can be so depressing.
