Early Morning Melancholy Poem by DEEP DARK SOUL POET

Early Morning Melancholy

Rating: 0.5

Thoughts come racing to my head
Like a rushing whirlwind instead
Thoughts come racing to my mind,
Like a merciless intruder, never kind

Thought is a great interrupter
That comes when called upon
Thoughts meddle with my thought
I think more than I think I ought

A lonely thought occurred to me
Borrowed from my lost tragedy
Contained within a shielded heart
Destinies dismissed far apart

Is there a single thought found
More astonishing, more resound
Than a mouth full of dead rose petals
While watching my world cave in?

Early morning melancholy
Framed by loss, or perhaps just folly
Grasping onto broken sharp parts
Healed by mundane lists that never starts

It's nothing but soiled reverie
Juxtaposed on my memory
Kisses ending at the beginning
Lost within time's mist winning

Mesmerizing parity
Nothing grows from apathy
Order from a broken heart's kiss
Persistence dulls my remiss.
