Earnest Supplication Poem by Frank Adie

Earnest Supplication

Keep me strong and healthy
Happiness is not about being wealthy
All that matters is my basic needs
Let me obtain them via good deeds

In the whole of my dewy life
Let me not resort to strife
Teach me how to care and love
And live as peaceful as a dove

Guide me right in thoughts and words
And protect me from verbal swords.
On the day you will call me back
Let me not be robed in black
