Earth Poem by Nnadozie Okoro

Earth

Ageless by definition
Ancient beauty by passage of days
Scarred beyond marks of time can tell
And Stretched beyond bounds of limits
Men can hold in antiquity

Yet a mystery in countless stories
Enriched in endless cycles of birth, death and resurrection
Only to give birth to oceans
Of reasons many held
So close as a comfort to accept her
Unique characters of motions
That drives her heart from sunrise to sunset

Scourged always to new heights
Of wonders as vast as the cloths of space
That cloths the divine
Spectacular at all times in her gallery
Even when the scenes changes
Casting poets of all ages to cast centuries of pigments
Brushed by all shades of all her tales to represent a motion
To generations beyond them
For they may be entombed back in her vast wombs
Without ever leaving a trace of existence
Although strange at times few of her ancient chest
Has been unearthed in ever ending quest to understand
Her nature only to lengthen the mystery

Solicitude at all times
yet a battlefield to those whose home
resides within her chamber
An outcry for ambitions has driven
Madness to new heights where fiction of the mind awaits
No more but on a collision course with reality
Only to drive others to flew to distant lands
Where slavery awaits with an open arms
Only in exchange for broken dreams being piece together
lasting for generations

Survival of the jungle
At heart only few are awaken to her call when the
Next cycle start or ends
For they will be returned back to her vast vaults
Where mercy holds not for the convicts, rich, witches or
the saints of faithful
But equal justice for all where ages will be a visit
By Students of her story to recall and breath in back the ancient echoes
That Once echoed through
Ever reminding us that we are too are visitors
In her garden

A master of magicians
By collections of antiquities
Even Houdini can't master
Whose magic are yet to be reveal her hidden
Treasures lost beyond counts of time
Only to be referenced as myths for time her golden
Child unveils nothing without a sacrifice

A mother
with a warm and cruel soul
Whose breast length measures not to empty cups
But abundant of milk with flow greater than seven seas
and five oceans
lasting for generations nourishing many souls
through ages
Yet hunger awaits like a post man on the doors
Of every souls with bolts of lightning at deposal
Ready to strike without mercy
But when provoked her tender nature
Can unleash a wrath that challenges the very nature of life
Even the rich can't escape

Alien by visitation
Yet through million miles of roads
Wisdom she embraces soaked within
The rich pains that encases her unique creation
All reminding us that life is not a fairy tales but
A lonely tale of one hearts
