Earth Laughs At Us - Poem by Chris Jibero

Being the humblest but haughtiest
Of creations
And long-suffering in our incessant abuses
Earth secretly laughs at us
Aware that we are three square meals
Served on her overflowing dining table
To cater for her abysmal appetite.
