Harmony Poem by Chris Jibero

Harmony

An enchanting sunflower you are
That unfurls as the sun rises
Every morning
To rouse you
By caressing your pleasant petals
For a merger of souls
To move as one at the same pace
Holding hands side by side always
Both in wakefulness
And in slumber

The sun I am
Whose rays won’t scorch you
But shall gently guide you
To bud, bloom and blossom
And continuously shall you
And I arise
Unfurl and flourish luxuriantly together
And also retire joyfully together
Every evening
Absorbed in each other
As a cube of sugar
In a cup of tea
For love is at its best
When two hearts beat together as one.
