Earth To Earth Poem by Barry Middleton

Earth To Earth

Rating: 3.5

once there was an Eden
in Africa or Asia
I could not know in life
beyond a wild fantasia

a riddle and a puzzle
I searched for it always
but it was ever hidden
within a distant haze
...
many come by faith
it's not found with logic
intuition takes me
above the philosophic

I believe that I'll get there
I'll fall down on my knees
to taste the primal waters
beneath the Eden trees

So beautiful and fantastic. Certain things are part of a myth that propels us to discover its reality. Whatever be the lessons we learn on the way, the journey continues. Thanks. many come by faith it’s not found with logic intuition takes me above the philosophic

Glad you liked it. To me Eden is a metaphor for the primal world before mankind destroyed it. I am fearful we will never get it back.
