Earth To Earth - Poem by Barry Middleton

once there was an Eden
in Africa or Asia
I could not know in life
beyond a wild fantasia

a riddle and a puzzle
I searched for it always
but it was ever hidden
within a distant haze
many come by faith
it's not found with logic
intuition takes me
above the philosophic

I believe that I'll get there
I'll fall down on my knees
to taste the primal waters
beneath the Eden trees

Topic(s) of this poem: eden, faith

So beautiful and fantastic. Certain things are part of a myth that propels us to discover its reality. Whatever be the lessons we learn on the way, the journey continues. Thanks.

Glad you liked it. To me Eden is a metaphor for the primal world before mankind destroyed it. I am fearful we will never get it back.
