Earthlab / Terraform Poem by Paul Wilson

Earthlab / Terraform

O how perfect, and approaching
Manplate of space, adjacent to the moons,
Telling of being here forever,
Having its own planetary colour,
Yawning with symettry, and celeste!

Around the dark horizon continent,
The shapes are broken, the solid weathered
Into swollen dionysian mystery,
As shadows swirl, as worlds
Collide, as flowers curl
(having the same symettry) ,
So the dance begins, the shadows revive,
Kinesis amalgam from egg to atom
The silent sleepers revive from their swoon,
And the beast rockets out of the sleeping cocoon!

Keepers of the ancient flame
Huddle round the ancestral refuge,
Obscured by clouds, as the rain comes down,
And leeches the soil and blanches the colours,
As the veils recede from a new revelation
In silent witness of the damned fact: out of earthpalette
Comes the crucifixion of heavens
And the creepers stifle the bare branch!
