Easier Said Than Done Poem by Reylan Loberternos

Easier Said Than Done

Rating: 5.0

We can change the world
That’s what everyone says
Nations have tried many accords
To turn their enemies into friends

Yet mutiny keeps us all at odds
With selfish motives and idiotic drives
Some leaders are inebriated by parasitic thoughts
While others are drowned by the shallowness of their minds

Come and see most people’s antics
Then tell me if being plastic is not a crime
One hand shakes hands with justice
But the other one takes bribes

At least they gave us something to laugh about
Or are we the ones making fun of ourselves
Our eyes are hazed by deceiving clouds
Seek the truth and start to delve

What the world needs is healing
It should start from me
Free myself from worldly cravings
That’s the way it has to be

Though it’s not as it seems an easy task
With mounting impediments and torrid hearts
Yet it’s still much better than just to relax and bask
And at least try this to commence a brand new start

There is what is called the dark side within us that can entice us to be greedy, dishonest, ungrateful, and so on. It can be overcome, once each and everyone learns how to work on his inner being to a higher spiritual level, by studying the divine truth (mysticism) , and believe me we will all realise that there is heaven on earth for us to spiritually maintain. An interesting piece.
