I’m a romantic, aren’t we all?
It’s so much easier to fall
In love with a man
Who you feel can understand
The way into your heart.
It’s so much harder to spend time apart
When he has brought you flowers
Or threw together a couple rhymes that you feel empowers
Your love for each other
And no other.
When he takes you out to dine
And says “will you be forever mine? ”
When he puts forth the effort
And his time spent with you is not short.
That’s what I want, that’s what I need
Someone who can feed
Me with love and joy
Genuine care for me, that’s what I look for in a boy.
