East Africa Poem by Raymond Farrell

East Africa

First
The British came
With the Bible
Once they got the locals
Conned and prepped
The men with the guns
Arrived en masse
To solidify their control
But today
The Chinese
Have come to Africa
With their phony
Socialist brand of concern
To enslave the people
Not with Holy Books
Or firearms
But with
The most effective weapon
Of all
Money.
