Education Poem by Raymond Farrell

Education

Education
Must not
Be the burdening
Of children
With endless
Repetitive
Mundane tasks
Or the rote
Memorization of facts
In order
To succeed
It must be
The awakening
Within each child
(Each student)
Of a desire
To pursue knowledge
And an imparting
Of skills
To teach them
How to think
So they can
Do So
Effectively.

With the internet, you can look up anything your heart desires, but you still need to learn how to think critically. That should be the focus of education, at least through high school.

Truly, education should not be a burden but a relief to the mind to pursue knowledge, think and work effectively. A lovely poem.

right view, I do agree, let the child knows what is helpful for humanity..
