Easter Souvenirs Poem by Alexandre Nodopaka

Easter Souvenirs

The large gaps in spaces
where teeth used to live
now lodge bits and pieces

of Easter ham
big as my next meal.
My mouth became

a harbor for pork
like fish in a pond
nor did it help

storing metaphors
nor allegories in my
cavitating poems.
