Eastern Diversions Poem by Christopher Tye

Eastern Diversions

Rating: 5.0

Eastern Diversions

Why does my heart always yearn for the east,
Day-dreaming of groves of Japanese Kanzan trees,
Creeper covered Buddhist temples in Chinese forests.

Eastern writings whirring around in my mind,
Haiku's in my heart and senryu's in my soul,
Tu Mu's poems easing into my heart.

Living on England's east coast always looking east,
Yearning to be always heading east,
Maybe it's the Tao calling the way to my soul.

Your oriental complex impressed me a lot. I once read your poems written in Japanese and Chinese. It makes me feel the charm of the world culture attracts us so much no matter we come from the east or west.A beautiful poem, I enjoyed reading it.
