Ebbing Poem by DEEPAK KUMAR PATTANAYAK

Ebbing

Ebbing
- - - - - - - -
Tides that rear and crumble
Bring waves to shore, stay awhile
Play and sing to full
With joys and fears,
Travels and panoramas they thrill
They hush and whisper
They spring forth dreams ample
Last not like a bubble
As they splash in and out
Tired they feel
As if sinews drained out
Half sure and half in doubt
On eternity reckons the ocean
And summons his children home
Despite pleads and moans
To be blest with favors
To delay a few moments more
Waves have to be back home with tears

Tides continue to rise and recede..... Even if they want to linger on the sea strand for a while, they cannot and will have to return to the sea from where they came the very next moment itself! To watch the waves beating against the shore and retreating is such a beautiful sight and you have captured that scene in your lovely poem!
