Echo Poem by Dr Anthony Onoja

We must learn to echo
Yes the world must listen
listen when we shout from
these void called home

We must never keep silent
yes say it even in barred walls
chained hands and foot along

We must learn to speak
yes speak it in the language
they understand best
Whisper it if you can
Murmur perhaps the walls
have ears and can listen

We must learn to share our
thoughts even when the
world is busy chasing theirs

We must learn to sing
even in the mud and sand
For the living have ears
Therefore, we must learn
to echo loud until they
hear us from this forts
