I will teach you
That success in life
Is measured
By moments
And not years.
That one simple hug
Can last a lifetime
Or it can cost you
Years and years.
We all succumb.
Scripture writes of
Eloquence
The divine perception
Of what life beholds
But, alas!
The chapters didn't
Write about you and I
An unwritten journey
For us to Behold.
Fog in the weather
Worries me on your drive
But the romance
Of waiting for you
Keeps us alive.
Hell, I hate life's journey.
