...................................

The world just ended a moment ago,
As the sky gently thundered, and sighed.

All the children went home, whispered solemn goodbyes,
And then all that had life slowly died.

The wind in its thundering, shuddering breath,
And a million small voices withdrew,

Then sanctioned itself to the cavernous depth,
Conceding its life was now through.

The earth quaked and staggered. The waters lay still.
The mountain tops crumbled and fell.

The stars that would light such a darkening night,
No longer had legends to tell.

The last pearl of autumn, the first bloom of spring,
The darkening sky cast a rainbow of gray.

No stars there to twinkle, no birds left to sing.
All is gone.Life is wasted away.

Ah this poem is so sad but a great write again and very rhythmic. I like your style of writing and your poems aren't too long so that they keep the reader's interest.
