Ego. Poem by Peter Vealey

Ego.

I loved you,
But you only loved tomorrow.
And left me in a time vacuum.
I wanted you, but you wanted,
Someone to prop up your ego.
A new dream of younger years and hopes.
I never left you,
You just never loved in real terms.
