It's exciting to be on top of yourself
Brandishing all of your accomplishments
Sometimes even elevating yourself to the pedestal of God
It's common knowledge
A foolish man does not know the extent of his foolishness
A wise man has an option of keeping silent
It's not uncommon
For every fibre of our being
To yearn for attention
To want to be heard
It's not unusual
For the world to elevate some people
To the position of power
To the seat of excellence
It's true
Human beings have a free will
They have the right to freedom of association
And freedom of speech
It's also true
Human beings have a responsibility
Whether to harness the spirit of oneness (Love)
Or to spread a message of wickedness (evil)
Every now and again
We find ourselves at the crossroads
Whether to embrace the heart of Love
Or to brandish our sense of selfishness
It's cunning
To put on a garment of ego
And preach the message of Love
Because ego is not a component of Love
Ego is shredded in the presence of Love
Love is a spirit of oneness
