Eid-El Mubarak Poem by G. Akanji Olaniyi

Gross of centuries ago, it was a great act of ibaadat
Father of faith, Ibrahim, fulfilled an amanat
Ismael submitted himself; that was a strong and peculiar aqeedat
Temptations was quite high, Ashaetan was rajeemat

Dry desert laid bared surrounding Kaabah
Father and son could hardly be disturbed very close to Maakah
But a very sharp knife failed to cut as a karamah
From nowhere appeared a ram, to be the Shahadah

These days it is a ceremony of that barakat
First the worship made is a two-rakaat
After killing the rams, you should share as sadaqat
So, I wish all brothers and sisters Allah’s barakat
