The ocean wakes, a warmer hum,
The Pacific's gentle, fevered drum.
A change is coming, scientists say,
A warming trend, to stay and play.
Not just a whisper, but a strong,
A mighty El Niño, singing its song.
Like giants of old, it might appear,
Bringing big shifts, far and near.
The Americas may see more rain,
Floods may rise, and cause some pain.
But other lands, under hot skies,
Drought may grip, and wildfire rise.
Australia, Asia, Africa too,
May feel the heat, the dry winds blow.
Hurricanes calm, in Atlantic's deep,
But Pacific storms will wake from sleep.
Still, not all is known, a shade of doubt,
How strong it grows, what it will bring about.
With warming earth, a double might,
Record heat, and weather's fight.
So watch we must, with careful eyes,
As nature shifts before our skies.
Be ready now, for what may come,
A changing world, a brand new sum.
