Elf Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Elf

Rating: 5.0

Elf in my garden,
Elf of my dream,
Elf always dressed in leafy green.

He sat there in the twinkle,
In my eye.
He looked at me then didn't.
I tried walking away but couldn't.

I couldn't prove if he was real.
I couldn't even do that,
Because I couldn't see him clear.

So then was he the elf of childhood dreams?
The possibility seems,
That he only resided in the garden of my mind,
In an imaginary green that he wore.

But one twilight he spoke to me,
His first words whispered to me,
That he lived in my garden of eternity.
That his life here was a reality.

But one twilight he spoke to me, His first words whispered to me, That he lived in my garden of eternity. That his life here was a reality. ************************* I like these four lines... Really good! ! !
