Elizabeth Poem by Elis Mita

Elizabeth

Rating: 5.0

Lovely pure and holy;
Thee golden great heart;
As Art's days of glory;
Like the most wonderful Gregorian chant.

For you I feel I am;
Your world, your everything.
But to me you're what I have.
Earth, water, fire and wind.

Source of being and eternal life.
Mine poetess lovie Elizabeth.
My love for you will last.
Even after death...

It's difficult to write a poem;
Your character to describe.
Trembles hands and pens;
For thou when I write.

Flood in my veins;
Tempest on my brain;
How can I find;
The words and rhyme.

What I should say first;
And what to let for later;
When my body burns;
And how to fit on paper;

Neither an artworks canvas;
Can not help me do.
To put there all my love;
And what I feel for you...
