Email Angel Poem by Elizabeth Lindberg

Email Angel

I saw an email angel,
A little wish-you-well,
I didn't win the lotto though,
or have more luck to tell,

it was a little chain email,
and break it not or else!
some doom may fall upon
a friend,
or maybe on myself!

I crossed myself a dozen times,
I grabbed a rabbit's foot,
I kissed a four-leaf clover,
I ate some ginger root,

I put a horse shoe on my wall,
I ate a chocolate treat,
I said a little email prayer,
and then I hit delete!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I would get these emails with little angels and all kinds of sweety stuff, then at the end you get threatened with bad luck if you don't send it on. I decided that topic needed a poem!
