Empty Poem by John Ackerman

Empty

Empty
The clouds roll above black as tar
I try to run but it's too far
Stuck in this dreary place
Is there not a friendly face
Madness screams from here to there
The soul lonely and bare
Emptiness is now all that exists
Growing like enormous cysts
Soon there will be no more
Nothing but an empty core.

This describes emptiness to a T! A good description of a hopeless feeling. Someone once said life is a pendulum that will always swing back. An excellent write!
