Empty Skies Poem by Isaac Abrahams

Empty Skies

a cloudless sky
has humbled man
as all his technology
meant nothing
as he was forced to bend
his knees
and lift his eyes
up high
as rivers flowed past
their beds dry
and fountains
has closed their mouths

and
when the skies
opened its vaults
and earth's lifeblood
filled her veins

man forgot.
