Endurance Of Life Poem by Jacson Gelato

Endurance Of Life

Rating: 4.0

I am your God of Love
I am within you, the voice resounded
I have given you two eyes but you cannot see me
I have given you one nose but two nostrils to breathe
I have given you two ears to hear every word, every sound
I have given you two hands to hold everything
I have given you ten fingers on your palms
to catch and pick whatever you need
I have given you two legs to walk everywhere
I have given you ten fingers on your feet
to let you not stumble or fall
I have given you a stomach to store your food
I have given you the blessing to enable you to procreate
I have given woman two breasts to feed your generation
I have given you a mind to think and reason
I have given you a heart as a clock
I have given you, your time on earth
I have given you the hour, the minute, the second
when you will walk back to me
without constraint, restraint or refrain;
you will come back to me with love within yourself
when all the things I gave you, have been utilized by you;
your weary legs, your weary lungs, your weary eyes
all in the silence of this earth shall find its way
and you will whisper to me
'' O' God of love
let your home accept my soul
Your love made me walk with lightness
while on this earth I lived
if serenity collided with enmity Your love within me
encouraged me to find another route, another friend;
if unhappiness or grief collided with reality
Your love within me taught me how to endure it.
O God of love, how much more could I ask for or wait
my clock of life has slowed down
and so have my heartbeats''.
