Enemies Behind The Mirror Poem by Ojeikpo Elijah

Enemies Behind The Mirror

Enemies lurking in the dark behind the glass
Their presence haunts me, like a never-ending pass
Reflections of hatred, staring back at me
My heart races, as fear engulfs me
They hide in plain sight, behind the polished facade
Their intentions twisted, their motives flawed
Whispers of malice, echo in my ear
My mind consumed, by unrelenting fear
I try to escape, but they hold me tight
Their grip suffocating, like a deadly bite
They taunt and tease, playing cruel games
My soul a battleground, for their twisted aims
But I refuse to be a victim to their lies
I'll shatter the mirror, and break their disguise
For the true enemy, is not behind the glass
But within ourselves, waiting to surpass
So I'll stand tall, and face them head on
I am my own warrior, my own champion
Enemies behind the mirror, I'll defeat you with love
For love is the strongest weapon, sent from above.
