It is raining hard outside and she is in pain.
She sits in her own idiosyncratic way
In the café of broken dreamers. Tears soon form
In her eyes and fall into her coffee. The storm
Outside is raging. It is the perfect backdrop
For the inner turmoil within her. It won't stop.
Hiding her red face, she suddenly leaves the place,
And another lonely soul takes up the vacant space.
Repeat programmes are all there is to see, it seems,
In a world which increasingly mirrors TV.
Every day, it is, alas, pretty much the same.
Ennui robs people of all purpose, hope and aim.
