Enough Of It To Eat Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Enough Of It To Eat

Truth to face,
Has a way to eliminate...
False pretensions.
Made to imitate,
Impressions to make.

And although truth to face,
Has not always received...
A welcome mat to greet gladly.
Or quickly embrace.
But it to come uninvited done,
Eventually relieves those of sighing.

Truth arrives to provide,
A release from deceptions.
Truth arrives to provide,
A long lasting friendship.
With significance.
Coming to assist them to examine,
Fed false beliefs.
Destroying their confidence.
More threatening to their deluded lives.
That truth has never proven this to do,
With a purpose to inflict...
Confusion and conflict to leave,
Anyone sickened.
To have had enough of it to eat!
