Entertaining An Angel - Poem by Marcia Gravett

If I had to think about the time I spent with you
I can only thank the good Lord above
The hours of chat
Your presence
Sowed true meaning to my life
Sometimes I wish we had more time
There are so many things I could have said
Smiles I could of shared
Looking back in retrospection
I wouldn’t change a thing
You meant the world to me
I appreciated you silently
I knew life without you would be hard
You still in my heart
If I have to tell someone about you
I would describe you as an angel
Someone who walked in my life
Turned my heart around
Your unwritten actions
Your chosen words
Someday I will replay them back to you
With love and gratitude
For you are an angel
Carefully kept in my heart
For time is my friend
For I had the privilege of
Entertaining an angel
